Terms, kept simple.
How this website works, and a plain-English summary of how a booking with us works.
Last updated 27 October 2026
This page is a summary. When you book, you’ll sign a written agreement with the full terms for your wedding, and that agreement is what governs your booking. Nothing here or in your agreement limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Using this website
- Everything on this site (films, text, artwork and design) belongs to Ever After Collective or the people who made it. Please don’t copy or reuse it without asking.
- Films marked “Sample” are illustrations of how we would tell a day in a particular place. They are not real weddings, and they’ll be replaced by real films as they’re delivered.
- We work hard to keep information accurate, including sunset times, but third-party rules can change. We confirm the details for your wedding in your proposal.
- Links to other websites are for your convenience; we’re not responsible for their content.
Prices
All prices are in Australian dollars. All prices are final — no surcharges. Your proposal shows the full price for your day, including any add-ons. Prices can change until your agreement is signed; once it is, your price is fixed.
Booking and payments
- Your date is secured when your agreement is signed and your retainer is paid. A proposal holds your date for seven days.
- Payment is in two parts: 50% on signing to hold your date (a minimum of $1,000), and the balance seven days before the wedding. If your wedding is within seven days of signing, everything is due on signing.
- You can watch your films as soon as they’re ready. Downloads unlock once the balance is paid. We’ll always remind you before anything is due.
Postponing or cancelling
- Postponing: one free date change to a date within 18 months of the original, with every payment carried across, subject to availability.
- Cancelling more than six months out: we keep the retainer, which covers holding your date and turning other couples away.
- Six months to 30 days out: 50% of the total is payable.
- Within 30 days: the full amount is payable.
- If we ever can’t film your wedding because of illness or an emergency, we’ll arrange a qualified filmmaker we trust, or refund everything you’ve paid.
Delivery
- Your highlight film arrives within 14 days of the wedding.
- Your full films arrive within 8 weeks of the wedding.
- Your private gallery stays live for 12 months, and download links stay open for 60 days. Please keep copies in two places.
- We deliver finished films, not drafts. If something is wrong, tell us and we’ll fix it.
Music, drones and the things outside our control
- We score films with licensed music. Commercial songs can be used for private viewing, but social platforms may mute them.
- Aerial filming (included with The Story and The Heirloom) depends on CASA rules, the weather and venue permission, so it can’t be guaranteed.
- Audio depends on cooperation from your venue, celebrant and DJ; we’ll always do everything we can to record every word.
Your films
We own the copyright in your films, and you have a personal licence to watch, share and keep them forever (including posting them on your own social media). We use them in our portfolio only with your permission.
Complaints and the law
If something isn’t right, please tell us within 14 days of delivery and we’ll work it out with you in good faith. If we can’t, we’ll try mediation, and you can always contact WA Consumer Protection. These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia.
